I’ve been smoking for 6 yrs now and want to quit. Right now I can’t go 30 minutes without smoking. I smoke about a pack a day and it’s expensive habit. Anyone got any tips about how I can quit?
As with any addiction, I suggest that you first try to find out what made you smoke in the first place.
Find the reason first on what got you into the habit.
This is the most vital step on quitting. Once you find out the cause and deal with it, you will be able to quit for sure. This is really the most overlooked step in quitting.
Then, I suggest that you start by lessening your cigarette consumption. Quitting it all at once is a terrible choice, this will just make your brain want to smoke more as you did not get your fix for a long time. Doing it at a snail's pace and surely is much better than doing it all at once.
Give dates on how much you are vacant to lessen your fixes. Say on June 12, only 1 pack a day, July 12 only 8 cigarettes and so on.
Get a name to quit with you. Be determined with your partner to kick the habit out.
Get a quitting plot with your doctor or therapist and stick to it. Whether it’s nicotine patches, special pills or any other treatment, make a strong commitment to follow it.
Reduce your exposure to stressful situations. Public delight in smoking as a stress reliever when they are place in such a pressured situation. This goes the same when you experience a lot of hardships, such as deaths of your loved ones, being divorced or austerely problematic.

Ween physically off is the best. Cold failure will just drive you back to smoking, because it will drive you crazy so quick, you’ll want one, and you’re hooked again. Just start off with a number, and work your way down each week until you hit zero.
heres wat im doing. i buy cigerrettes that i hve to roll. because i dnt know how to roll and too bone idle to roll i smoke less. also they taste horrible, but they do satisfy me. since they r strong i smoke less. they turned my fingers orange. its so yucky im weening myself from wanting them
The best and toughest way to do it is to quit cold failure. It’s more effectual than nicotine gum or patches although it is something that is very challenging to do.
Try the Nicotine Patch. And start NOW ! It sounds like you’re by now pretty Addicted, & the LONGER you continue- the HARDER it’ll get, to Quit. -And just Remember; It WON’T be Simple, but it WILL be Worth it… -Excellent luck!
