Has Anyone Tried Acupuncture To Quit Smoking? Results? How About Chantix??? Side Effects???

I took Chantix for about 3 months (October 06-December 06). It worked fantastic for me. Main side effects I had included upset stomach (during week 1 when I took the medicine and when I smoked and only for about 30 minutes after taking the medicine in all the other weeks), problems sleeping (week 1) and really weird, vivid dreams (entire time). Other than that, it worked fantastic.
I highly recommend it. If you choose to take it find out if your indemnity will cover it. If not, call around to various pharmacies and price shop. My indemnity covered it so I just got it at the local Walgreens but one person I know said it was cheaper at Costco (no membership required to use their pharmacy).

I know smoking is terrible for you, I know all the dangers, and when public tell me to quit smoking it kind of pisses me off because when It comes to this I have very low self control, i’ve tried to quit smoking at least 13 times. I’ve tried various methods such as the patch, acupuncture, self hypnosis, won’t take the pill because of all the negative side effects. But how can I stop smoking? Do I have to go to rehab or something, haha how lame would that be.
Plus I have horrible allergies and smoking only aggravates them. I’ve had 5-6 chest infections and bronchitis about 3 times. I’ve only been smoking for about 4-5 years and I’m 20, do you reckon it’s possible for me to get cancer or other diseases after only 5 years of smoking and a young age?
And right now my allergies have been acting up and I’m coughing up a lot of brown phlegm, and I’ve been doing alright to cut my cigarettes down to 3-5 a day. I’m just wondering if I should go see a doctor or anything. I’m a bit paranoid.
http://stopsmoking.eu.pn/ is a new approach on quitting, designed for everyone who seriously wants to stop smoking, and it’s absolutely free; there’s no need to buy anything, nor register; no fees, no medications, no gum nor patches, no weight gain. Just read and do just so what the site suggest.

Here is a small overview of the quit day by day – your quit smoking timeline.
But first of all, I must remind you of a few things you should do in the days leading up to your smoking cessation. A really excellent thought is to bring together much of the last days of cigarette butts, in a glass jar or similar, and fill it just over halfway up with water. So if you are in an urgent situation everywhere you are accurate to fall in, you can take a modest sniffer, the smell in itself should give you a modest extra time to regain the choice to stop … It is very disgusting, I can look excellent you.
Of course the quit smoking symptoms described below depends on whether or not you use quit smoking drugs, like quit smoking pills, quit smoking acupuncture or similar. But the stop smoking benefits – they are guaranteed.
Quit Smoking Timeline – Day 1
Then you’re on the road, you maybe feel a modest weird, but it is reasonably normal, remember that it is a new feeling for you not to smoke all the time. Reasonably a few feels, as if they are about to be sick. You might also find it hard to concentrate, but remember that it is reasonably normal, and delight in that your blood pressure, your blood circulation and your skin temperature is by now normalized, and the risk of heart attack is diminished.
Quit Smoking Timeline – Day 2
Most are experiencing day 2 as being very restless, thought often of smoking, and is probably also a bit annoying to be near. It is again reasonably normal and is just your body’s signals to you that it is starting to getting weaned from nicotine, your blood flowing also virtually unimpeded through the body again, and it can affect you in many ways, but you just have to push it to side, this should not be so hard at this time.
Quit Smoking Timeline – Day 3
Today you will again start to taste the things you place into the mouth, and may possibly scents several shades … but physically it is here it starts to be hard, your mind and your ego will try to fool you into thought that this is the incorrect choice you have taken, and your body will “scream after nicotine” …
Try as a replacement for to take a walk or a run, you by now are in a better conditioning, and it would be excellent for you to get the pulse a bit raised.
Quit Smoking Timeline – Day 4
Now your body really starts reacting to the lack of nicotine, and many have constipation, or the opposite, it will be hard to find peace, and your throat and lungs ongoing to be converted into cleaner, and will probably cause you to cough slightly in the next day, it is a healthy sign, remember that your throat, have been really greasy in, and sticky for a long time, and you are not accustomed to a full functioning throat … Just hold out, in a few days is the worst is over. Your body is becoming detoxed, and you are well on track to be converted into a non-smoker for the rest of your life.
Quit Smoking Timeline – Day 5
From this day there will be longer linking the feeling that you just need a cigarette, and it becomes increasingly simpler for you to stick with your choice … You can also delight in than you are now breathing a lot simpler, and now your senses, smell and taste senses are nearly exact and the level of a non smokers senses.
Quit Smoking Timeline – Day 6 and 7
Less symptoms every day and your smoking cessation is becoming much simpler, 7 days is really a full week, and now is the worst over, and so you release emotional energy which can be used for anything other than worry over a cessation.
Quit Smoking Timeline – Day 8 – 10
Now you are at a stage everywhere smokers are starting to smell dreadful, all while you start to smell better … Your breath will be original, and your voice will now also be clean and clear in tone. Now you’re nearly home free …
Quit Smoking Timeline – Day 11 – 12
Now you should start getting brighter and more gorgeous teeth, unless you consume large amounts of cola, coffee or wine. Your skin now has a brighter tone, and is significantly nicer to touch, at the same time the morning coughing releases you absolutely, now your throat is nearly normal, and only very sensitive public feels some morning cough or similar.
Quit Smoking Timeline – Day 13 and 14
Now you can really say that you are free of smoking, if you’ve quit for 2 weeks, and should no longer have any physical reasons to start again, and you will generally have more energy, austerely because your body is not burdened daily of having to extract extra poisons of your blood, your immune system is in much better shape, and you will now easily avoid colds and the like. Cigarettes will now take up less and less in your universe, and as long as you know that just one small cigarette, yes just one or two wheezing involves an imminent risk that you find physically back in the smoker role again, you are excellent.
Quit Smoking Timeline – Weeks and months after …
It will be reasonably simple, although not entirely disappeared after 3 to 6 months, to feel you do not smoke, but remember now, former smokers can only in thousandths of all cases be party smokers, most smokers who have returned 1 -3 Years after a smoking cessation treatment, were some who would smoke a modest on holiday or for a couple of festivals, and suddenly they were back in dependency … Do not let physically fall into the trap, stay off smoking the rest of your life, you will only regret it if you try.

Smoking cessation – Quit Smoking Pills or Alternative medicine?

If you are a smoker and are considering to quit smoking, you have probably had a lot of thoughts about how it best be achieved. A smoking cessation is not an simple thing to do, but fortunately there are a lot of different tools you might consider to try, both in the classical form of nicotine products, but also a variety of offers of alternative treatment.
You’ve probably heard of quit smoking acupuncture, homeopathy, NLP, quit smoking hypnosis, crystal therapy and other exciting expression.
Generally speaking you who smoke are to struggle two things, both physical dependence on nicotine, but also dependence on the mental level.
Well loved products such as nicotine preparations in the form of inhaler, chewing gum and quit smoking pills have the advantage that they are clinically tested and thus there is evidence for the effect.
But they work only against the psychical urge and addiction to nicotine, you will still have to struggle physically on the mental level, there are unfortunately no medications that can make you absolutely not remember that you have ever smoked.
So even after the physical addiction has slowed, typically after 3 months’ time, there will come situations everywhere you are accurate to fall in again.
Therefore, many consider alternative medicine and alternative methods as a second approach, as it may seem a bit illogical that they should quit the nicotine addiction be in fact by the usual nicotine products, but also because some of these therapies are working with the mind, the mental level.
And many have had excellent experience with quit smoking acupuncture, for model, everywhere both physical and mental urge for nicotine disappears a few weeks into treatment. Others report that hypnosis can affect one’s subconscious so that you absolutely lose the urge to smoke. Some resort to NLP, which is a way to learn to identify and map your mind, and with that understanding develop control over their lives.
Homeopathy is based on a holistic philosophy everywhere the whole party, both in body and psyche, can be cured by small doses of extract from the plant, mineral and animal kingdom. Crystals supposedly radiate energy waves and these should be able to heal.
Roughly speaking, there is a plethora of different therapies in alternative medicine, and you can not be 100% sure that a single treatment works for you.
All public are, although we are of the same species, extremely different in many respects. So use your common sense. Perhaps you know a name who by now has been through a stop smoking with the help of hypnosis or something else? If not, then check the various therapies.
If you do not really believe that a crystal placed on your TV works as smoking cessation, then it probably does not. If you are interested in NLP, and believes that it may possibly help you in other contexts other than just a smoking cessation - well then you’re by now well under way.
Combining the more traditional stop smoking methods; like quit smoking cd, quit smoking books, quit smoking pills or other quit smoking drugs is not a terrible thought either.
What counts for you is to get the right tools so you can successfully implement your stop smoking – and stay smoke-free, alternatv treatment or not.
