I Quit Smoking Using Chantix But When Can I Say I Really Quit?

I quit smoking about 2.5 months ago. I’m proud of it and tell people that I quit, but some people say that I’ll just pick it up again. Is it like, once an addict always an addict? Anyone know the percentage of people that quit who stay quit for life?

Who cares what the percentage is? You are your own person, not the average person.
You’ll have cravings for life, but remember… they are quick (only a few seconds), so dont bother caving in.
If you feel like you need extra support now and then, or have questions, try out this site. I used it when I quit and it was awesome!

I smoked for 15 years and was up to 3 packs a day..I had a very bad addiction…I quit cold turkey(for about the tenth time)and that was 17 years ago…it certainly can be done..you re on the right track and have the hard part behind you…the trick is keeping it off your mind..I would’nt even think or talk about it …it makes it much easier..your doing great!

I think when you dont feel you are dependant on cigs anymore. If you are fine now without them, youve quit, congrats
you might also want to try a liver cleanse..i heard it is good for people who quit smoking.

Well, If you have true friends, they’ll support you all the way through even if people say you will always be addicted; DON’T BELIEVE IT! My dad quit smoking because he was so inlove with my mom, he did it out of love! Besides, if you have your mind set on that goal, don’t let your friends down, and more importantly, don’t let yourself down!

Opinions Against Hypnosis to Quit Smoking

Quit Smoking Hypnosis

Quit Smoking Hypnosis

Smoking is one of the worst habits one may have, being addicted to nicotine is pretty much similar to being addicted to cocaine or heroine. Though many medical and scientific associations have underlined the similitudes between tobacco and cocaine no decisive steps have been made. There are many people eager to try such special methods especially if they are easy to implement. Alternative therapy has come up with quit smoking by hypnosis solutions. To quit smoking by hypnosis is a recent technique very contested by scientists as most doctors and scientists don’t accept the idea of influencing the subconscious.

Though quit smoking by hypnosis solutions are controversial there are some people that say they feel better, so based on their declarations this new quit smoking by hypnosis treatment gains more and more favorable opinions.

If you run a simple search you will find a multitude of quit smoking by hypnosis solutions over the Internet. Such quit smoking by hypnosis treatments contain a simple mp3 file that must be recorded on a CD or DVD and played several times.

There are many people that buy them and say they feel better. However, at the exact opposite pole, there are others who say they’d rather go to an exorcist than turn to quit smoking by hypnosis. The products are advertised as the extraordinary quit smoking by hypnosis mp3s. Maybe you’ve seen some shows where people get hypnotized and bark like a dog or any other animal. Those things are real, so be careful to what you listen, I have nothing against those who appeal to such drastic solutions I just say that they don’t know to what they expose themselves.

Those who turn to quit smoking by hypnosis usually have tried other untested methods like yoga or any other alternative therapies, it is true that there is a small percentage of people that have an inclination to mysticism but before contacting some therapists that use quit smoking by hypnosis techniques try to find out the side effects of such a quit smoking by hypnosis treatment. The truth that any medic or scientist can confirm is that we know little or nothing at all about mysticism and what it involves.

You can search for opinions on the Internet and you will find that many share my opinion underlaying the dangers that can appear if you try quit smoking by hypnosis. However, if you come to work with a true professional, quit smoking by hypnosis may work as it is said to eliminate the desire to smoke from the most inner levels of the subconscious.

If you do choose to try hypnosis against smoking, remember that you can combine this method with several others, like pills to quit smoking and other quit smoking medication, to enhance your chances of quitting for good.

Is Free Hypnosis to Quit Smoking any Good or Safe?

November 14, 2008 by admin
Filed under Hypnosis to Quit Smoking

Smoking is one of the biggest problems that troubles our modern society as more than 4 million people die every year from a smoking caused illness. Free stop smoking hypnosis is one of the most modern methods to fight nicotine.

The cause of smoking is different for each individual as there is a variety of emotional and psychological factors involved. A personal problem can make one start smoking just like a very stressful life style. The free stop smoking hypnosis helps you from inside your own mind. If the smoking causes are within each individual doctors say that the cure is also there.

So this is why any quit–smoking program comes with a lot of counseling for helping one overcome all the imminent difficulties. Some people are ready to try new free stop smoking hypnosis techniques and are pleased with the results. Let’s see the pros and cons of free stop smoking hypnosis methods.

The problem with free stop smoking hypnosis treatments is that you don’t really know what it really goes on during the procedure. Basically during free stop smoking hypnosis sessions the nicotine addiction should be eliminated from your subconscious. Maybe you’ve seen shows where a person is hypnotized and then makes some foolish things, all those happenings are real.

About the method, yes, it can be useful, because the mind can simply be programmed to hate cigarettes but I wouldn’t trust anyone to play with my mind. Theoretically free stop smoking hypnosis can be successfully applied to some patients and if you surf the Internet for opinions you will find a lot of happy stories as well as some complaints against this method. Presently a large number of free stop smoking hypnosis mp3s exist on various sites.

As I see it the only advantage to stop smoking hypnosis method over the classical treatments is that there are no side effects as those reported in the case of some nicotine-based substitutes or quit smoking pills. As a common disadvantage of the free stop smoking hypnosis mp3 files that can be found on the Internet is that you’ll have to waste a lot of time listening to them. Usually about 6 hours of listening are needed every week so if you have this time to spend, the free stop smoking hypnosis might be the solution for you.

However, it would be best to turn to a professional in the field, even if you have to pay for the procedure. Such organized non-free stop smoking hypnosis therapy shows results sooner than the free variants available on the Internet.

Quit Smoking Symptoms

October 28, 2008 by admin

When you start a smoking cessation, you will experience a number of changes, also called the cessation symptoms or quit smoking symptoms.
It is quite natural, since your body for a longer period have become accustomed to be exposed to toxic substances in the form of nicotine, tar and the like.  When you quit smoking, and thereby stopping adding poisonous substances to your blood, your body begins a purge of the poison, and that is what we call smoking cessation symptoms.

The quit smoking symptoms you may experience varies significantly from person to person, but it is important that you prepare you for the coming onslaught. The cessation symptoms you suffer from will give you an excuse to try to justify that you start smoking again. You must fight against this negative process and stick in your decision to stop smoking.

One thing that is important to remember before you read further, is that I will list the most common cessation symptoms, and you will most likely only be able to recognize some of them, but do not worry, it’s perfectly normal.

The most usual stop smoking symptom, is your almost irresistible urge to start smoking again, your body will almost shout to get another injection of nicotine, and your internal dialogue will be divided between your desire to escape your addiction, and the desire to end the unpleasant symptoms.
This symptom is not so hard to get through, just some steadfastness, and you will be over the worst after the first 3-4 days.

You might also see that you are a little ill, in the form of frequent coughs, small colds, and other lung chest discomfort symptoms, it is again quite naturally, because your airways cleans out, and restore the natural function, while that your immune defense works hard to purge the poison from your body.

Your intestines will also make “sounds” as a symptom of a smoking cessation, you can even get an attack of constipation, you must understand that smoking affects many parts of the body, while smoking also consumes a lot of your body’s energy which could otherwise be spent on many other things, and so many functions in the body have suffered from smoking.

You will most likely also see an increased appetite, and a greater desire to put something in your mouth, and if you absolutely must give into the temptation, go for fiber-containing foods, as it facilitates bowel function, coarse bread, nuts, grains and prunes could also be fine things to eat, and remember in the beginning of your smoking cessation to drink plenty of water, all things could help ease the symptoms of your smoking cessation.

Headaches can also be a smoking cessation symptom, which brings along a lack of focus and concentration, and you will see that you are easily irritated.
Experts believe that the headache is caused by changes in blood / oxygen ratio simultaneously with a change of blood sugar levels, caused by lack of nicotine which all alter normal brain environment. With time, these levels return to a normal mode, you must simply arm yourself with patience, plenty of water, and maybe use a few headache pills against the pains for a while.
