Just wondering, I truly don’t think humans should be “running” on prescription pills at all, but I am going to try this because its better than smoking to my grave….. sooo anyone know what pills like this do to a body?

Wellebutrin will not be why you quit smoking. It is to ease the anxiety you will have from withdrawl. It works for some people and some people it doesn’t. Just keep trying.
There is a new med called Chantix which will help one quit. It blocks the receptors where the nicotine goes into so you don’t have the cravings. Quitting is difficult and medicine alone isn’t going to work. One has to really work on quiting.
Nicotine is a physical and psychological addiction. I am a smoker. I have tried many times to quit without meds, no luck.

I think if I remember correctly wellebutrin may cause a person to stop having dreams, or atleast stop rembering them. I think another side affect is possible sexual dysfunction, but I would talk to a doctor about that, because it may just be a slight chance of that side affect.

Chantix is working for my step mom. She still wants to smoke but that stems from the behavior part. She says she doesn’t have physical cravings. I think it is worse for her when I come over because she can smell better now, and can smell the smoke on me. I am her trigger as far as her wanting to smoke.
