Does it really work? I’ve tried every other thing you may possibly reckon of to quit smoking… The patches, gum… and none of it has really worked out. So has anyone had success with CHANTIX?

I in person don’t trust any quit smoking method that deals only with physical nicotine addiction. Chantix especially because it is potentially perilous also. I in person wouldn’t go near the stuff.
Like you I tried several times to quit by patches, gums, herbs etc but none of these worked.
Smoking is more of a psychological addiction than a physical one. If you really want to quit you must find out the reasons why you smoke and then eliminate or change these thought processes. As soon as I dealt with my psychological reasons for smoking I quit, first time and more importantly for excellent.
Once you deal with the psychological side of smoking it makes the quitting process simple, no matter your level of addiction.
Quitting smoking does not demand any patches, gums, herbs or drugs. These methods are expensive, time consuming, potentially harmful and austerely do not work. All that is required is a bit of motivation, self belief and determination.

I have been taking Champix for 3 weeks and am 13 days smoke free! I have found it reasonably simple to quit even though I have never really tried before, I am having stomach problems though. I have smoked for nearly 40 years and never thought I may possibly give up.
I haven’t had any withdrawal symptoms, other than breaking the coffee and a cigarette normal it has been excellent, but my stomach is not pleased! If you want to quit without the nasty withdrawal symptoms, this may possibly work for you. Have to say I am worried by some of the comments and research I have done re: depression, I feel ok though.

Has Anyone Tried To Quit Smoking Lately?

I am 62 and been smoking for a long time.. Really want to quit but having a hard time, Any sugesstions?

It is key to stay clear, don’t focus on the cravings. Keep the reasons why you quit in the first place circling through your head. This will keep your moral fiber and motivation high. Cravings will ease as a result.
If you keep your focus on the negatives you are reinforcing a mistaken belief that is too hard to quit. Don’t even reckon about the times you have failed, that was you back then. The now you can and will quit, you just have to truly believe you can do it.

I’ve Been Prescribed Wellebutrin To Quit Smoking…. But What Is It Really Doing To My Body???

Just wondering, I truly don’t reckon humans should be “running” on prescription pills at all, but I am vacant to try this because its better than smoking to my grave….. sooo anyone know what pills like this do to a body?

———-

Wellebutrin will not be why you quit smoking. It is to ease the anxiety you will have from withdrawl. It works for some public and some public it doesn’t. Just keep trying.
There is a new med called Chantix which will help one quit. It blocks the receptors everywhere the nicotine goes into so you don’t have the cravings. Quitting is hard and medicine alone isn’t vacant to work. One has to really work on quiting.
Nicotine is a physical and psychological addiction. I am a smoker. I have tried many times to quit without meds, no luck.

I reckon if I remember correctly wellebutrin may cause a person to stop having dreams, or atleast stop rembering them. I reckon another side affect is possible sexual dysfunction, but I would talk to a doctor about that, because it may just be a slight chance of that side affect.

Chantix is working for my step mom. She still wants to smoke but that stems from the behavior part. She says she doesn’t have physical cravings. I reckon it is worse for her when I come over because she can smell better now, and can smell the smoke on me. I am her trigger as far as her wanting to smoke.
