Has Any One Used Wellbutrin To Quit Smoking?

I want to quit smoking, but it’s sooo hard. Does wellbutrin work or are there any other helpful tips? Besides the gum and patches…
This method works for me and is the only money back guaranteed.
I reasonably smoking 2 years ago
Get the Facts
Easyway, founded by Allen Carr in 1983, has the highest independently verified 12-month success rate (75.8% for a smoker completing the program) of any quit smoking technique and a 90% satisfaction rating.
Compare Easyway to other methods and see for physically why Easyway is called “The Cadillac of quit smoking methods.”
HOW THE METHOD WORKS
By psychotherapy, the method works in the opposite way to the “willpower” method. It does not concentrate on the reasons the smoker should not smoke : the money, the slavery, the health risks and the stigma. Smokers know all that by now. As a replacement for it focuses on why smokers continue to smoke in spite of the obvious disadvantages.
It is dread that keeps smokers hooked!
Dread the smoker will have to give up their pleasure or crutch. Dread the smoker will be unable to delight in life or handle stress. Dread the smoker will have to go through an dreadful trauma to get free. Dread the smoker will never get absolutely free from the craving.
The Method removes these fears
Smokers quit with the Allen Carr Method as satisfied non-smokers, not feeling deprived but with a huge sense of relief and elation that they have finally achieved what they always wanted….
TO BE FREE!
What about the terrible withdrawal pangs from nicotine?
The physical withdrawal from nicotine is so slight that most smokers don’t realise that they are addicts. What smokers suffer when they try and quit by other methods is the misery and depression caused by the belief that they are being deprived of a pleasure or a crutch.
The Allen Carr Method removes this feeling of deprivation.
It removes the need and desire to smoke. Once the smoker is in the right form of mind and they follow the simple instructions, the physical withdrawal from nicotine is hardly noticeable.
No Gimmicks!
The Method does not use any gimmicks, useless aids or substitutes. No nicotine gum, patches, lozenges, tabs, inhilators or nasal sprays! No needles! No lasers! No drugs! No herbs! No shock treatment!
The Allen Carr Method is thriving because:
It removes the smokers’ conflict of will.
There are no terrible withdrawal pangs.
It is instantaneous and simple.
It is similarly effectual for long-term heavy smokers and light smokers.
You need not gain weight.
You will not miss smoking.
Health check Endorsements
A personal view from Professor Judith Mackay MBE, JP, FRCO (Edin), FRCP (Lon), World Health Organisation Advisory Panel on Tobacco and Health
“I have no hesitation in supporting Allen Carr’s work. Many clinics use some of his techniques but it would appear that few do it in reasonably such a thriving package.”
Carole Johnson, Coronary Heart Disease Prevention Unit, Tyne Tees
“his success rate was such that, when budgets allow, we continue to use Easyway for work with specific groups and individuals.”
Dr Anil Visa BSc, MBBch., FRCA, Consultant – Royal Hospitals NHS Trust – Royal London Sickbay
“I have observed the Allen Carr method at first hand and have found it to be very thriving and I wholeheartedly support it as an effectual way to quit smoking.”
Dr William Green, Head of Psychiatric Dept, Matilda Sickbay, Hong Kong
“It is a remarkable fact that Allen Carr, on his own admission a non-professional in behaviour modification, should have succeeded everywhere countless psychologists and psychiatrists holding postgraduate qualifications have failed, in formulating a simple and effectual way to stop smoking.”
Dr Martin Jarvis, Principle Scientist, Imperial Cancer Research
Fund and Reader in Health Psychology, University College London
”…I am more than satisfied to testify to Allen Carr’s enduring involvement and to recognise the watch of the kind of behavioural and cognitive support he provides.”
Dr PM Bray MB CH.b., MRCGP
“I was really impressed by the method. In spite of the Allen Carr organisation’s success and fame, there were no gimmicks and the professional approach was something a GP may possibly readily acknowledge. I would be satisfied to give a health check endorsement of the method to anyone.”
Celebrity Endorsements
“His method is absolutely unique, removing the dependence on cigarettes, while you are really smoking. I’m satisfied to say it has worked for many of my friends and staff.”
Sir Richard Branson
“Some friends of mine who had stopped by Allen Carr’s method suggested I tried it. I did. It was such a revelation that instantly I was freed from my addiction. Like those friends of mine, I found it not only simple but unbelievably enjoyable to stay stopped.”
Sir Anthony Hopkins
The Most Effective Way To Quit Smoking?

ive tried, stop smoking groups, one-2-one’s with nhs folk, tried the chewys, tried the lozange, tried the patches, the only i probably havent tried was the inhalor. Any advise on effectual ways to quit and stay quit….
I’m on day 12 today and I have patches through the NHS to do it, This is my 3rd attemp with the NHS helping me and both times i ongoing smoking again before was due to drinking in a pub and my willpower leaving me with each drink I had. I am hoping this time the smoking laws will be in pubs by the time i ‘go it alone’ with no patch.
I have tried patches, lozenge’s (Yeuk) chewing gum (Not too excellent) and the inhalator (I thought was a excellent thought for my pub time – turned out it wasnt)
1st time i gave up was for about 6 months
2nd time was 19 months
This time I’m NOT vacant back to it!
My stop smoking consultant told me last week that he doesn’t recommend the inhalator as it is not quitting the hand to mouth habit AND the getting a ‘Hit’ of nicotine as you inhale through it, one puff on one of those is nearly as strong as 10 puffs on a normal cigarette! So it is a ‘hit’
I have not done a group session, i prefer the one to one, but you really have to want to do it, and to stop public smoking in your house has helped me Huge TIME by now this time, i was always lenient before, my other half is now cutting down as he has to smoke in the garden…. Its a massive help to me though.

Im 16 and stupidly got in to smoking, i wanna quit but i cant seem to, my parents don’t know and i don’t want them to ever find out. I have been smoking for about a year I really wanna quit but i don’t know how. Please help
If you believe you have enough will-power you may possibly stop cold failure.
One day I chose to be converted into a vegetarian, and that was over a year ago, and I’m still one.
Try cutting down at a snail's pace, getting down to one per week.
Then just stop, don’t let physically get to them.
Don’t go out and spend your money on cigs, go buy clothes.
You may possibly also try taking Nicotine gum which will probably fasten the quitting process.
You can buy it at any pharmacy and Wal-Mart.
Also the Nicotine Gum website ships you a free two week trial of gum or something.
My friend is in the same situation! Quitting smoking is one of the most challenging things you can do, but you have to believe you’re strong enough. Start by weening physically off. Smoke less each week, so that it’s sufferable. Try the nicotine patches and gum, too.
This website is helpful for trying to quit:http://www.anti-smoking.org/?gclid=CJ_2i…
and if you need to talk to a name it’s a fantastic thought to call
1-800-QUITNOW
It’s fantastic that you want to quit! I hope I was helpful ![]()

How Can I Get My Girlfriend To Quit Smoking?

My girlfriend smokes. I want her to quit. She doesn’t do it around me but I can always smell it and I just despise how it can effect her health. I have tried to use guilt, saying how its unhealthy to everyone but she just gets pissed when anyone tries to lecture her. she knows how terrible it is and she kind of wants to quit. besides her smoking she is the most incredible girl ever.
Try the Money argument:
Make no threats about it. If you dislike it that much, break up with her. This is choice that is very personal, but when made, requires the support of the public around her. It’s a tough choice, but with the cost of cigarettes seeming to go up just as quick as the stock market falls, now is a better time than any to stop.
That is something you can use to convince her to stop. The money factor is huge. For a girl, image how many extra pairs of shoes you may possibly buy with your smoke money? If you smoke a pack a day, that’s about $7 per day, times 30. $210/month times 12 = 2520. For many public, that’s a percentage of their income that they may possibly be by somewhere else- like putting food on the table, gas in their cars, or contributing towards healthcare.
Try the Health argument:
My father was a forty year smoker and was literally killing himslef adn we argued a lot about his smoking! Then i chose to go on the website and get pictures of tongue, lung, and throat cancer and i wrapeed them up with a starting kit to help to quit smoking. IT took him 6 months but he is smoke-free for the past 3 years. Recently he ongoing loosing his breath adn they found out his lung capacity is very low. He told me if i haven’t shown him the pictures of cancer and the pictures of my children and told him if wanted to miss out of all that is dear and loving to him to keep smoking! I also refused for them to be at his house if he continues to smoke! I guess maybe if she has someoneclose to her it may help her!
Anyone Know Of A Way To Quit Smoking Other Than Patches/pill/gum? Something Herbal Or Foods That Curb Cravings

A friend of my mother in law went to a hypnotist….it worked….he walked out of there and has NEVER had a craving….its been about 13 years now.
Hypnotherapy is the most thriving method I know of. But the real key to quitting smoking is: DON’T SMOKE.
Seriously though, if you can’t do it on your own try hypnotherapy. This form of therapy is often misunderstood and undervalued, but very effectual.
There are no patches, pills, gum or herbal medicines that will curb your cravings for smoking. You need to built a strong will power to quit smoking. Remember that tobacco is a very perilous substance on earth. The God has made this plant for therapeutic use but public around the globe have taken it in a different way for their own pleasure and intoxication. When you smoke, the tar enters your lungs and keeps accumulating there like plague. In a long run, it blocks the veins and reduces the passage to accommodate more oxygen into your lungs and you can suffer from small of breath. The terrible effect of smoking is well known factors for many kinds of cancers and other diseases. In the first place, I must say that you are inviting largest distress by wasting your money, time and health. It affects others in the family also. Since, you wish to know about quitting smoking, please be away from such terrible habits and live your precious life gifted to you by the Almighty by doing some excellent deed in life. Be a proud child to your patents and Society in general. The animals know the terrible effect of tobacco and hence never ever enter a tobacco field to graze. You will never find the animals eating tobacco leaves in tobacco field. I smoked for 25 years and stopped the terrible habits in one day without looking back. Now, I delight in a healthy and stressful life. The money spent on smoking is also saved. My family is very pleased now and they are really proud of me.
Quit Smoking Pill… Chantix (varenicline) Or Zyban (bupropion) ?

Anyone have any experience with taking Chantix (Varenicline) or Zyban (bupropion) to quit smoking?
From what I’ve read it seems Zyban works better and Chantix is a honestly new drug for it. Varenicline is a partial antagonist of the niACH receptor and Bupropion is an antidepressant that acts as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor, and nicotinic antagonist. Sounds similar in that they dumb/prevent the pleasure of smoking. Seems to me thought that the Bupr. sounds like it would work better since Varen. is only a partial nicotinic antagonist plus Bupr. being an antidepressent helps with the depressive moods associated with quitting.
So the Question: Anyone had experience with both or either or knew a name that has tales about it? Whats prescribed commonly? What side effects and or pros and cons for each did you experience?
Isnt a full nicotinic antagonist better than a partial? And why did they leave out the dopamine reuptake inhibitor?
I’ll try web-md on this too. Thanks
What Is Considered To Be The Best Quit Smoking Method?

Among all the different treatments available to quit smoking, what is generally considered to be the best, most effectual way to quit and stay quit? I want to quit but I’ve been having a hard time with it.
I struggled to quit for a long time, but never was comfortable with pills or patches. And at the end of the day, I found an intelligent way to quit smoking.
The vital thing is to realize that smoking makes strong emotional bonds – and it is these bonds that need to be cut off. Physical cravings only serve to wake up memories of the emotion…
Once that realization and awareness sets in, it is then vital to reframe your thought about smoking. As a replacement for of saying “I am stressed and therefore I smoke” say “I am stressed but there are other ways to deal with it”. This budge in thought is vital.
Cold failure has been shown to be the most effectual method over the long run. That’s what I did when I quit in 1994. For years I tried to quit by all sorts of methods, but when I was ready, it went like a breeze. I had 3 cartons in the house when I chose to quit, & I smoked every single one of them. My doc gave me a prescription for the patch in case I needed it.(Remember, back then there weren’t as many options available as there are now.) I just timed it so tht I had one cigarette left after supper, smoked it, & have never touched another one. I have to declare tho that if I’m in line at a store, & the person ahead of me is a smoker (you can smell it!), I have to restrain myself from asking “hey if I give you a dollar can I chew on your sheath?” In other words the urge is still there but I’m strong enough to resist it. You just have to want to quit more than you want to smoke. Do it!! Its incredible how much better you feel!
